I am absolutely thrilled as we approach the Om 5K Run and 1-Mile Walk on May 19th, 2024, a profound occasion honoring Om Parikh's legacy of resilience and optimism.
Recently, in my capacity as co-founder of COSY Monroe (Coalition of Seniors and Youth of Monroe), I conducted the "iPhone 101" event at the Senior Center, an initiative aimed at fostering interaction between the seniors and youth of Monroe and empowering seniors with comprehensive iPhone knowledge.
We have hosted 25+ events at different senior communities including the senior center in our town!
Amidst showing valuable insights on the iPhone functionality, I also seamlessly integrated information about the upcoming Om 5K event, providing a compelling story on Om Parikh's courageous battle with pediatric cancer and the Om Foundation's compassionate mission.
Witnessing the seniors' genuine interest, I took the opportunity to also facilitate the registration process using a custom QR code, guiding them step-by-step and addressing their inquiries about the event and the foundation's philanthropic endeavors.
Encouraged by the enthusiastic response, I am committed to fostering awareness of the Om 5K event at future COSY gatherings, anticipating a surge in senior participation at Thompson Park, where the spirit of optimism and community solidarity will undoubtedly flourish in honor of Om's legacy.
